[closed] no good deed
Who: Nyx Ulric + Sui Feng
Where: Westerley
When: W7D6
Summary: Acclimation training
Restrictions/Warnings: Violence, extraness, blood, who knows what else tbh
[Acclimation training.
He read the words, he read the message, with a level of restraint. He couldn't understand, wouldn't understand in what place or time is violence without mercy justified. Didn't he fight for those that couldn't, anyway? Protect those that couldn't protect themselves?
Nyx knew what he signed up for. What he hadn't expected was for it to come to this.
Orders are orders. As much as he hated them. As much as he fought them sometimes.
Just another note on his already long record of following his heart instead of the orders he'd been given. Hero, it's what they called him. Running headfirst into trouble, because he could, because he knew how to do the things some others just didn't know how to do.
Hero.
He never took the nickname too seriously. Nyx always did what he felt was right.
But damn was it becoming harder and harder to keep his head straight.
His uniform is impeccable, his posture solid with hands behind his back as he waits at the very edges of the designated mission area. The assignment required him to be paired with a "model enforcer." So it goes.]

But orders are orders, and while she's becoming increasingly less satisfied with the dull hands that use her sharp edges, she is obedient.
When she arrives, she does so in silence and smooth steps, arms neatly folded at the low of her back. Her uniform marks her designation as a specialist--while the enforcers wear the black and blue of the Company, she wears long layers of robes in black and white, purposefully flowing and nonrestrictive around her diminutive movements.
Sui Feng stops in front of him, an obvious--albeit cold--scan of his physical form, appraising him and evidently finding him wanting.
(It's Resting Qreshi Face.) ]
Ulric, I presume?
[ She knows it is--she's studied his dossier and flagged the behaviors to watch for, but even tyrants need to exercise good manners. ]

Except now he has to, for the sake of his own job and his livelihood. Perfect.
The only thing different of his own uniform is the hood, weight down by a heavy metal-lined headset, and several metal bands fitted around his arm. They were the only designations he had to show he was of his own unit known as the Glaive.
He nods once, curtly.]
Sui Feng, right?
[Though he has no doubt it's her. Here and there, he caught up on her files. They left him feeling a mix of impression and uneasiness.]
