[ Bridging the distance between them with a graceful step, Sion touches his fingertips to her shoulder in a gentle plea for her to remain stil, if only because she has done so very, very much already. Everything, perhaps, save for care for herself. ]
...you should remain seated. I can only imagine how very worn you must be, after running to Leith's mountain ranges and back.
[ And while the very same might be said of the Director, (Sion, who had run after her while carrying another in his arms and maintaining a bridge of programmable matter), the thought seems not to occur to him. Why should it, after all, when he'd been made to do such things—his design is one crafted with endurance in mind. ]
What's more... [ Ah, Lapis should recognize this, shouldn't she? The playful gleam and glint to Sion's eyes— ] ...I would be honored if I might take the co-pilot's chair at your side, my Lady.

It's true she is tired, but he was also running with her, while also carrying Julius and creating those platforms. Surely, he must be feeling rather worn out as well, even if he might not be showing it so clearly. Luckily she doesn't have to ask him to sit, as he quickly beats her to it - golden eyes blinking up at him once more, before she smiles softly.
A hand motions him to the seat beside her, after having taken a couple of pillows from her seat and placed them on-top of the co-pilot seat. With how she tends to usually travel by herself, that seat is often left bare and neglected, so having someone beside her for once is a nice change.]
Of course, I would be honored. Plus, I think you should sit down and rest for a little bit as well.

Perhaps I do need the rest. [ Wholeheartedly, Sion is able to heed the 'Captain's' orders, minding himself if only to see Lapis at ease. Lapis, who... ] May I ask if your sleep has improved, since that night...?
[ That night when Sion had been the first to doze off, despite his best efforts, physically and emotionally drained by the Company's internal affairs investigations. Lapis, she'd opened her home to him, welcomed him with tea and her quiet smile, and embarrassingly... he'd fallen asleep, sheltered by her warmth, the familiarity between them. ]
I did not mean to doze off as I did. [ Ah? What is that faint dusting of color brightening his cheeks? A blush? No, of course not! ] My apologies, for not being better company.

And despite herself, she finds a smile curling at the corner of her lips as she remembers how he drifted to sleep. Only giggling when she sees that faint color along his cheeks - amusement and fondness clear in her eyes, as her smile becomes warmer and softer.]
Don't apologize, I'm glad you find my apartment so relaxing. But I have been sleeping a bit better since then. [It's not a vast improvement, but she is sleeping just a bit more.] Thank you, Sion.

[ But even so, she's thanked him still, her soft laughter as relaxing as it had been on that night when she'd provided him with safe-harbor away from the uglier, harder truths of belonging to the Company.
He thinks, then, that perhaps it hadn't been Lapis' apartment at all (though the space had been warm, lively with color and with an antique shop's eclectic décor), but simply the presence of a friend which had allowed him to slip so quickly, so deeply away into sleep. For so very long, he'd known only the isolation to be found behind Company walls that he'd forgotten what it had been to feel at ease—in every sense of the word—with someone. And if Lapis found the same comfort in his presence that he did in hers, maybe then--...
He had helped, in at least some small part.
A hand lifting from the pillow he holds, he leans to the side, reaching out to her with an open palm and artfully bowed fingers, wanting to take her hand in his own. ]
You are most welcome, Lapis. [ A nod of his head, a contented hum. ] You have been practicing with your A.I. since that day, as well?
At this rate, between your new-found speed and those abilities innate to only you, no one will be able to rival your prowess.
[ —spoken like a good co-pilot, accompanied by a playful wink and cant of head. But more than that, the words are no simple flattery, as much as evident in the profound way Sion studies Lapis' face, full of wonderment. ]
But... you'll not leave me behind, will you?
