[ Hannibal's disappeared on him, which isn't exactly what Will expected here -- not tonight, of all nights, when they so explicitly were here together. Yet, there he was, here one moment and gone the next and Will knew Hannibal would know that Will noticed, so this must have been either very important or -- or a test, of some sort. Will wasn't a fan of Leithian galas, for obvious reasons, and finding himself a dressed up and alone Westie in the middle of it all -- well, he wasn't very happy.
So, he went looking for Hannibal. Will, this stupid suit, and one little glass of Hokk roaming through the halls to find where his wayward date went to. There were looks, obviously, a few spiteful glances from anyone who recognized him, confused ones from those who didn't. It got under his skin a little, since he'd never actually been around this many Leithians before -- which again, says something about Hannibal ditching him like this.
Eventually, he does spot a flash of ash blond hair turning a corner and Will's mouth turns into a frown. He knocks back the glass of Hokk and sets it down somewhere nearby before following Hannibal down the corridor. Something in him convinces him to stay quiet and so he does, not making the slightest sound as he follows after Hannibal for a while. The estate is large and extravagant and it's plenty easy to get lost in it.
It's when he turns and hits a dead end that he's not exactly sure what to do. There are a few doors nearby and one seems open a crack and maybe he should... just... leave? But no, Hannibal's definitely on the other side -- he hears the muffle of voices and Hannibal's soft accent so. Hm.
Then the thought strikes him -- has Hannibal finally decided to kill him? Does he know that Will knows? Is this it?
Will hesitates for a moment, wondering if he should turn and leave and just... try to pretend nothing ever happened. None of this. Hannibal and him, nope. Figuring out the Ripper, nope. Nothing. Then he realizes, of course, that he already signed the dotted line here -- there's no going back.
When the voices go quiet, Will sighs and presses forward to open the door, expression blank as he takes in whatever is happening on the other side of it. ]
