Closed(ish) | Guarding Mr. Daisy

Who: Sion, Lavi, Kanda & anyone they meet at the Summit
Where: Springhill Compound, Peace Summit
When: W6D2 - D6
Summary: Guarding Sion during the summit should be an easy warrant. Unfortunately, nothing with Sion is ever actually E A S Y.
Restrictions/Warnings: Kanda's fine command of language, as usual.

[Growing fond of the brat he may be, Takasugi looks forward to the day he sees nothing but feverish hatred in sharp black eyes. The possibility of a quick end, a single utterance splintering carefully measured control, only wets his appetite and tempts him to draw their connection out until it's taught enough to snap.]

You don't believe in the harmony of a pampered Company mouthpiece? [Sarcasm dripping, sloughing thick over the threat in the other's voice. It's heard, understood before it even passed Kanda's lips.

Takasugi turns to the crowd as well, several newly familiar faces milling about as they spread what hearsay he's whispered into their ears.]
Do you think there's a solution? [The question is plain - dull - already disinterested in the answer.]

[And all they need is a spark.

Whether that be someone like Sion, faith in the world undampened by its suffering, seeking a misguided solution doomed to fall between his fingers, or someone like Rhys, willing to use the emaciated shoulders of the weak and weary as a stepping stone to greatness - Takasugi will be there to strike flint against steel.

As he looks out over the mingling delegates, all he sees is dry tinder.]
Aa. It does all seem rather hopeless, doesn't it? [He delights in such a predicament.] But it seems as if they always find a way to prolong the inevitable.

Though for some it's simply dragging out their suffering.
