So instead he busies himself with various tomes, the more depreciated the spine of them considered a plus rather than a negative. All said, he ends up with an armful of books up to his chin before he pads back to find Kanda and begin sorting through them to decide which are too precious to let go and which can probably wait for a night they don't plan to spend walking.
