[ This, at least, isn't a complicated thing to consider. Skin cooling and reactions losing their sharpness, Lavi considers Yu's answer with a careless shrug. His idiotic crush and hopeless distraction aside, he'd been sincere when he said having the other man here made it fun.

Not just for the potential discounts (he's of the mind not to abuse that tactic too many times, having a good relationship with the different vendors and staffers at the Bazaar has considerable perks), but more generally for having the company. They may live and work together, but there's seldom an activity they do where someone hasn't ordered or paid them to participate.

(Not, of course, that he hasn't dragged Yu with him to bookstores before, but those are almost always under the strained air of a bet lost or favor owed. This is the first time his partner has willingly volunteered himself to a social outing without some measure of coercion or necessity.) ]

We're on an adventure. Adventures are meant to be shared, y'know?

[ There's a breath of hesitation in him as he shifts the scrolls to one arm, but it lasts for a mere second before he turns to sling his arm along Yu's shoulders. They're friends, he reminds himself, and friends--at least those like him--occasionally hang off each other like small woodland animals on branches.

He's just going to have to learn to live with the distraction until he can get it out of his head. The last thing he wants to do is shy away as if Yu has done something deserving of recoil when it's Lavi's own damn fault in the first place. ]
