money makes them all the same (closed)
Who: Handsome Jack + Giorno Giovanna
Where: The Prisoner Intake Facility
When: W4D5
Summary: Considering their conversation about some work on the side, Jack decides to give Giorno a tour of the Facility that most Killjoys don't generally care about.
Restrictions/Warnings: Violence, bad jokes, etc.
[ It's his first day back at work, since honestly, Jack doesn't exactly rest. There's always too much to be done, and even yesterday when they'd all but forced him to not come in, he'd still been occupied with work of a different kind. Jack just isn't the kind of guy to ever even want to rest.
Which, naturally, makes the fact that it's hella boring today all the worse. He totally could have stayed home and worked on more pet projects for Joy on the side, but no, here he was at Intake with way less to do than normal. The problem with quarantines is that it pretty much grinds processing to a halt. The only people coming through here were Westies or people displaced from other planets in the interim.
Usually he works more in the "back," away from where prisoners first come through for processing when a Killjoy brings them in, but today? Eh. It's not like he has anything better to do. So he's at the front of processing, not actually doing work, but more just messing with the people coming through. Also considering the quarantine, most of the people coming through today are first-timers who have never seen Handsome Jack's face in person. And just as his reputation tended to imply, the uncanny mask that he always wore was as intimidating as that reputation would have you believe.
Though when one Killjoy walks up, Jack perks up, since he recognizes the face. They hadn't met in person, but Jack didn't exactly like going ignorant. As soon as he'd gotten a name, he'd looked the guy up, so he's grinning with interest when he approaches. ]
Hey, you— I know you! You're- Yeah, you're totally that Gio guy I talked to a while back.
[ He pops out of the chair he'd been lounging in at this point. Using the nickname is a part of Jack's personality, since he uses those with pretty much anyone, but it also makes it a bit more casual from his point of view. ]
What's up, buddy? You bring some special kinda scumbag in today?

[ giorno makes a face at the smell of the facility, but otherwise makes no comments about it - no doubt it's just something that comes with the job, and anyway with something as tedious as this it's not like jack's gonna be living in a five-star place.
his mask looks ugly. maybe jack has a better face underneath that shiny thing? for his sake, giorno hopes he didn't have to pay for that thing. ]
I'm not here on business.
If you have the time - I was hoping for a tour.

Huh. You're serious?
[ But he doesn't actually wait for a reply either. He laughs slightly, but waves for Giorno to come and follow him as he takes a step back. Clearly, it's not something Jack is all that concerned about. Just simply surprised that anyone would want to see the Facility. ]
I mean, technically no, never got enough time, but. Sure, you wanna take a peek? No problemo. VIP All Ac- Okay, maybe not all access, but, y'know, more than most jackholes that come through.

he turns to let jack lead him wherever he wishes to start, slipping his hands in his pockets as he watches his guards and officers mill about. ] Show me your favourite places, too. If you have that kind of thing here.

And of course I've got my favorite places! Like- I mean, I spend enough time here, you've gotta have favs or you'll blow your friggin' brains out.
[ He'll lead him further into the facility, and truly, it's nothing all that interesting. It's functional and simple, just a place meant to hold a lot of people, but only temporarily. ]
I mean, look at the place? Not exactly a "Home Sweet Home" environment.

I was under the impression that if things aren't fucked it wouldn't be interesting for you. Although I might be wrong.
[ it's orderly. for a place that houses almost half of westerley and more on a bad day, there's certainly not a lot of things he can fault him for. ]
