inksplashes: (But I'm not gonna think about that right)

[ The infirmary is quiet, cold, and in part, comforting. Strolling through the doors with hands pocketed, Lavi glances around the silent room, the gleaming surfaces, thinks back to the dozens of times he's played patient to Yu's crude doctoring.

It's only recent times that have seen their roles reverse. At best a war-zone medic and at worst ruthlessly pragmatic, Lavi isn't qualified for this. He's never needed to tend to the wounds of others with a goal any better than survival, and he's never been put in the position to mend a mangled mind.

At least, not one he cares about enough to preserve.

Suddenly the infirmary isn't such a welcoming place. Breaking the silence of the room with a whispered sigh, he pinches the bridge of his nose and redirects his thoughts to the task at hand. Just what sort of supplies should he gather? Yu isn't a normal human and this isn't a flesh wound they're risking. What would happen to the man if Lavi administered adrenaline? Or had to use those weird sparky-paddle things (defibrillator)?

The next book he writes is definitely going to be along the lines of "how to take care of a superhuman bastard".

For now, he gathers epinephrine and adrenaline, scrounges to look for something with a sedative property on the not-so-off chance Itsuki's drug isn't as advertised. Lavi swings by the galley before he returns to his room, rifling through drawers to find crackers or cookies or something to soothe a potentially ill stomach.

When he returns to his room, arms full but feet quick and practiced between the various piles of detritus, he tilts his head at the novelty of seeing his bed made.

And occupied, for that matter. ]

You know, I always figured the first person in my bed would be a bit..

[ Flashing a grin as he carefully arranges the supplies (though to an outsider, it likely just looks like more chaos, Lavi very much a creature who exemplifies methods in madness), Lavi gets to work on finding another book to read that's sure to bore Yu to sleep even if the norn fails. ]

..curvier. And feminine.

[ Did he just casually mention that no one else has been in his bed before despite the persona of an overly flirtatious man?

Lavi shrugs, letting the revelation roll by without much fuss. Yu already has a damn annoying habit of seeing through his charades, he doubts he's revealing anything overly surprising with that.

Tome chosen (a particularly dense volume of philosophy of social constructs), Lavi turns back around, seems to size up his partner. ]

Sad thing is you're still way out of my league. Oh well. Bragging rights for the bars.
