He doesn't though, and whilst this whole exchange is confusing and disconcerting and completely out of the ordinary, a slow realisation is beginning to creep over him, the thought that Rhys isn't trying to catch him out at all.
He's silent for a further few moments, observes his superior carefully, looking for small indications that this is some kind of unconventional ruse.
