[Lecture it is.

Noctis' weight shifts. It isn't a very dramatic tell, but it's a tell nonetheless- moving from one foot to rest pointedly on the other. His hip meets the countertop as a punctuation mark and his arms fold over his chest to underline it. None of these things are interruptions because he knows she has a point, and because he knows (however unaddressed he might leave it) she has his best interest at heart. But that doesn't mean he'll shuffle obediently into some other line of work, effectively chastised. He'd made hard choices back in Utopia. He does this so he doesn't have to settle for working himself into a grave on Westerley.

There are only so many options.

Still, he has the good grace to look away while he's sulking and that's a betrayal too. He huffs a lot, but he doesn't mean all of it. Hanna offers him a grin that's just enough teeth, and Noctis feels the petulance ebb away- replaced by a skeptical almost-fondness. I know a little about those, she says.]

You know that doesn't really lend to your credibility, right?
