[Jennifer has always wanted a quiet sort of existence, and living above the bar like this doesn't...really count, really, it's never truly quiet, but she enjoys it. It's nice to just sit on the stairs sometimes and listen to the conversations below, or watch the bustle of people from a window.
It's all so new and alien to her, she's fascinated even as she's a little frightened by the freedom. It's because of that that she's found herself a little stagnant, living more of charity and taking in mending while she tries to figure out what to do with herself.
