[He doesn't trust the Enforcers. How can he, after years of seeing them harass family and friend alike, all for the sake of their beloved Company? The man before him might be calm, nice even, but Steinbeck is not the type of person to naively believe a person just based on their appearance.]

[So, he keeps his distance, his muscles taut, unwillingly to relax. The man looks sad (how strange), but Steinbeck is as scared and strangely defiant as ever.]


That so. [He says, a bit of a sneer curling over his lips.] And no, it isn't...I mean, the cutting is, but I, well, I took it a step further...this is my personal way of getting close to the ideal, you know?
